Gym Inductions & Fitness Clubs
This page provides you with information on the fitness sessions run at the RMAS and details on the gym induction.
Induction
To use all of the facilities, including the swimming pool, all service personnel and dependents must receive a gym induction. For safety and legal reasons, it is necessary for all users of the gymnasium to undergo an induction course to enable them to use the training equipment and machines in a safe and proper manner.
-
The induction must be completed before you gain access. The induction will last approximately 20 minutes and will cover essential information on the equipment, various rules, and general information about the gymnasium. All personnel who wish to use the facilities must be over the age of 16.
-
Once the Induction is completed, personnel and dependents will then be issued a gym pass by the relevant RAPTCI. This pass covers full use of all the facilities and lasts for 12 months.
Costs
The cost of the induction, and the ability to use the gym and swimming pool at the RMAS is £20 per civilian member of staff and £12 per dependent; this cost covers insurance costs.
